Packing My Bags...

Well folks, today I leave for Kenya. I feel a rush of excitement knowing that this trip will be a great adventure. My goal is to see, connect, and share with as many people in the field as I can (for me and for HUB). My flight leaves in 6hrs. In typical Elizabeth fashion, I haven't yet started packing my bag :) Off I go to do that. Talk to you soon..

Elizabeth,

Your picture on your blog site is BEAUTIFUL (almost as beautiful as your are on the inside. I am proud of your humanitarian efforts and hope it will be a HUGE success. Love, MOM

Hey there, E!!!

I am so impressed with your efforts and passion in trying to help those less well off than us here in America. Hope everything goes well and that you return safely with lots of stories, photos and accomplishments.

BTW, your trip to Africa brings and odd sort of coincidence / symmetry in relation to my own life -- though only from a genealogical standpoint...

I recently met a beautiful African-American woman here in Detroit and have been seriously dating for a while now. Gerry is deeply in love. Most exciting woman I've met -- well, except you! I'd marry this girl if I could. Stay tuned -- film at 11.

Anyway, keep us posted on your fabulous adventures. I'll tell Oprah that she can take a break for awhile because Elizabeth is "in the house", er, "in the country".

Keep smiling, keep reaching for the stars!

Love, Gerry

PS>> Go Blue!! (even though Michigan sucks this year)
